Day & Night Projects is proud to present Savannah, GA- based artist Kelly Boehmer’s solo exhibition Rears Its Head.
Faux fur, yarn, glitter, and upcycled taxidermy transform through Boehmer’s aggressive stitching-together, into colorful, grotesque sculptures. These soft hybrids assume a wild humorous view of the artist’s fears and fantasies about death and aging, vitality and rot.
Rears Its Head will open with a free, public reception on Saturday, April 12, 7–10pm, and the artist will be present. Viewing hours are Fridays and Saturdays,12–5pm, or by appointment.
